Teacher Life Hacks Grocery Shopping

According to Google, a life hack is “a strategy or technique adopted in order to manage one’s time and daily activities in a more efficient way.” These weekly blog posts will hopefully provide you with an idea or strategy to make your life less stressed and more organized. We love hearing from our readers with their tips and tricks!

Grocery shop one night a week. I commute 3 hours a day to get to school; that’s life with rural school boards. I am exhausted when I get home and I look forward to the weekend so that I can sleep in and stay comfy in my home. On Fridays, even though I am SUPER tired and just want to crawl into bed, I force myself to stop at the grocery store for my weekly shopping.  By shopping on a Friday, I have noticed that the store is practically empty,  plus it means I don’t have to leave my house at all during the weekend.  All I have to do is have a list ready and pick everything up in one shot. BONUS – I’ve noticed that by limiting my grocery shopping to only once a week I have been SAVING money on my grocery bill.
