Managing the Paper Monster in Notebooks

A quick solution to helping students manage paper handouts in their notebooks from the 2 Peas and a Dog blog.

For years I have been struggling to combine photocopied sheets with notebooks with minimal success UNTIL this year when a student showed me their idea and it took off in my classroom.

When I need my students to complete worksheets gluing them into their notebooks does not work because then they have to continually turn their notebooks to see the sheet at the right angle. A student in one of my Math classes thought to staple just the top edges to the page and complete work underneath the worksheet.

This is a brilliant idea. Now an entire page in a notebook is not wasted just to glue in a sheet of paper. Also when it comes time to study, students are no longer losing their worksheets and can reference practice sheet answers quickly.
