Videos are a great way to encourage class discussion. Show these two videos to your students. Great discussions can occur about the changing face of technology over a such a short time span. You could also have your students complete a comparison and contrast chart about their childhood versus someone who grew up in the 1990’s.
Take a minute to watch this adorable video about life in the 90’s. I showed this video to all of my three classes this year and they LOVED it. They said “Miss. your life was so boring” and I just laughed. I explained each piece of technology and even found a YouTube video of what a dial up modem sounds like. They were in AWE!
